Suncoast Supports Shongweni
Sales
Durban’s Suncoast
Casino has become the latest in a series of casino backers
for the annual Michael Holmes Bloodstock Sales which were
held in Shongweni on the 25th February 2009.
The casino pledged R20 000
in training money to the sale graduates. Suncoast spokesperson,
Eugene Boniface, commented that the city of Durban has a
long and illustrious horse racing history.
He specifically mentioned
the Vodacom July and went on to say that Suncoast “saw
this as an opportunity to align ourselves with this association
and we hope that the horses sold at the sale go on to do
well.”
The sale featured an auction
of horses in training, brood mares and thirty four two year
olds. Nineteen of the lots came from the Invernooi St, Chris
Saunder’s farm."
